2016-2019 Transportation Improvement Program

Final SFY2018-2021 Transportation Improvement Program

The Region's Long Range Transportation Plan is monitored and implemented through the TIP process. Specifically outlined in the TIP are the Region's highway, bikeway/pedestrian and transit improvements that are federally and/or state financed. Before local jurisdictions can move forward with any proposed project implementation or construction, that project must first gain approval for use of federal or state dollars by the Region's policy board and become a part of the TIP.

The Final SFY2018 – 2021 TIP list includes road construction projects, bike/pedestrian projects, bus/transit and other transportation-related projects and services planned for SFY 2018-SFY2021 (four years: July 1, 2017– June 30, 2021).

The Final SFY2018 – 2021 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) was adopted in May 2017.

Starting on May 27, 2018, TIP amendments must be developed in compliance with the transportation performance measure requirements of the FAST Act for safety measures.  In November 2017 MVRPC’s Board of Directors adopted a resolution supporting ODOT’s safety performance management targets for the five performance measures outlined in the Fast Act.  Ohio’s targets infer a 1% annual reduction goal for each of the five safety performance measures.  To aid in meeting those targets in the MVRPC Region, MVRPC continues to plan, program, and fund projects that have a positive impact in achieving the targets outlined in the State’s HSIP report.  To learn more about MVRPC’s Safety Program go to mvrpc.org/transportation/long-range-planning-lrtp/transportation-safety.
