The Plan is a roadmap to building this regional effort in coordinating transportation and positively impacting the mobility of the people who call the Greater Region their home. It identifies community transportation resources, compiles statistics of the target population, identifies transportation needs, and outlines strategies to fill in gaps and reduce duplications of service.
The GRMI Plan is being updated and is available to review and provide comments until August 14, 2024.
MVRPC will hold a will hold a virtual Public Participation Meeting and three in-person Public Participation meetings to review the FINAL DRAFT of the Greater Region Mobility Initiative (GRMI) Transportation Coordination Plan (GRMI Plan) Update. The GRMI Plan is a roadmap to regional mobility by identifying and addressing transportation barriers for those living in an eight-county region known as the Greater Region. The plan serves the eight-county area of Champaign, Clark, Darke, Greene, Miami, Montgomery, Preble, and Shelby counties.
Virtual Public Meeting will take place via Zoom, a video conferencing platform, and will be held on Tuesday, August 6, 2024 – 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

The Greater Region Mobility Alliance was formed to implement the goals and strategies of the above plan. The council meets quarterly and is open to public, private, and non-profit transportation providers, as well older adults and individuals with disabilities, and advocates for those groups.
