The Greater Region Mobility Initiative (GRMI) Council was formed to improve transportation options for older adults, people with disabilities and low-income individuals, in part by implementing the goals and strategies of the GRMI Plan.
The GRMI Council meets quarterly to provide input on making specialized transportation improvements and to share information concerning transportation for non-drivers. The committee is open to public, private and non-profit transportation providers, as well older adults and individuals with disabilities and advocates for those groups. This Council discusses the transportation needs of the populations identified above and makes recommendations on how to meet those needs in a coordinated fashion. To find meeting information please see the 'Mobility & Environment' tab on the Committee Center.
The GRMI Council established an Advisory Committee to provide the larger council and MVRPC with guidance and recommendations to ODOT policies and other programs to improve transportation services. The Advisory Committee consists of members representing the Greater Region from each county included in the region and serve on the committee for a period of two years according to the established GRMI Advisory Council Guidelines.
